Mark Strother's journey in the landscape lighting industry started over a decade ago when he discovered his love for transforming outdoor spaces. After graduating from Auburn University, Mark embarked on a career in corporate sales, but it was his innate passion for design and the allure of the outdoors that eventually led him to pursue his true calling.
From Landscaping to Lighting
In 2009, Mark took a leap of faith and ventured into the world of landscaping. With his entrepreneurial spirit and determination, he successfully built and sold a landscaping company, gaining valuable experience in bringing landscapes to life. Mark’s true passion lay in the transformative power of lighting which prompted him to delve deeper into the art of landscape lighting design.
Lighting Expertise and Dedication
Driven by his unwavering commitment to excellence, Mark sought to refine his craft and elevate his expertise. He pursued various low voltage lighting training programs through companies such as Site One, Vista Pro Landscape Lighting, and FX. Additionally, Mark became a member of the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP), where he is currently working towards earning his Landscape Lighting Designer Certification.
Family, Community & Personal Touch
Mark has been proud to call Huntersville his home since 2005. It is here, amidst the beauty of Lake Norman and the vibrant community of Charlotte, NC, that he has found inspiration for his designs. As a dedicated family man, Mark cherishes every moment spent with his wife Lisa and their two sons, who are studying Mechanical and Architectural Engineering at the University of Alabama.
